- The Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot announced Friday the next opening of the archives on "judicial inquiries" of the Algerian war (1954-1962).

The way in which Roselyne Bachelot made this announcement, at the microphone of Jean-Jacques Bourdin, suggested that a multitude of shameful secrets would be to be discovered in the archives, implying that the investigations in the judicial investigations of the gendarmerie and police would inevitably lead to the revelation of illegal acts committed by the police.
