The policeman was driving a hidden private vehicle in the area of Givat Brenner and underwent an owl test in which an amount of alcohol was detected in his blood in excess of what is allowed by law. • The officer was summoned for questioning and his license was revoked until further notice.

A police officer, serving in the Central District Police Central Unit, was apprehended on a weekend night while intoxicated.

Following this, the officer's license was seized and he will undergo a hearing earlier this week with an officer in the traffic police.

Apparently, he will also be dealt with by his commanders on the disciplinary level and possibly even on the criminal level.

In other words, an indictment for drunkenness may be filed.

The officer was arrested at a checkpoint in the area of Givat Brenner in the South for a routine inspection of drivers at places of entertainment.

He was then driving an undercover police vehicle that looked like a private vehicle.

The owl's test revealed that his blood contained about 470 micrograms of alcohol.

This is when the maximum allowed by law does not exceed 290 micrograms.

Due to this result, the officer received a summons for questioning.

Also, the vehicle was immediately confiscated and was not allowed to continue driving.

He claims he was present in a banquet hall and was on his way home.

As stated, the officer was summoned for a hearing and interrogation, and his license was revoked on the spot pending a different decision.

Details of the incident were passed to the district headquarters at the high command level.

The Central District Police have confirmed that the officer will be treated on the disciplinary and traffic levels.
