(ANSA) - ALEXANDRIA, 11 DEC - The reclamation operations of the building in via Arnaldo da Brescia, in Alexandria, are still in progress, where this morning a woman died in the fire of the premises used as a music school.
The victim is the 55-year-old Monica Prendin, violinist and president of the Tamburvoice musicstudio & school which is based where the fire took place.
The causes that triggered the flames, which spread to the roof, are still under investigation.
Only the timely intervention of the firefighters prevented them from extending to neighboring houses.
"We will have it for the whole day. We are trying to ascertain the exact causes and the precise dynamics of the fire - says engineer Riccardo Briante, deputy commander of the fire brigade of Alessandria - We will also have to establish what is the logical connection between the flames in the premises and the collapse of the roof ".
