Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the attempts to delay the launch of a gas pipeline

Moscow-Sana

Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned attempts to delay the launch of the "North Stream 2" gas pipeline linking Russia and Germany, saying that those who prevent its work are acting in a "stupid" manner.

The Russian TASS news agency quoted Putin as saying during a joint meeting with the State Council and the Council for Science and Education in Russia that it is stupid for those who do not allow the work of this project because additional gas supplies to the European market would undoubtedly lower the price on the stock exchange.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously indicated that Moscow had not set a specific date for bringing the "North Stream 2" gas pipeline into service, indicating that this depends on the German regulator.

And “North Stream 2” is a Russian project to build two natural gas pipelines, each with a length of 1,200 km, with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters annually, extending from the Russian coast across the bottom of the Baltic Sea to Germany.
