(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, 30 JAN - The fire that broke out yesterday evening around 10 pm in a house in Fabbrico (Reggio Emilia) where two brothers, a boy and a girl, aged 7, died in the malfunction of a gas radiator e8 years.
According to the reconstruction made by carabinieri and firefighters, the failure of the system saturated a room with gas, causing an explosion which then caused the fire. The two children were on the first floor, they could not escape and died in the flames, then tamed by the firefighters. The mother, at the time of the outbreak, was in the outer courtyard and managed to get out and call for help.
The bodies of the two children are at the disposal of the prosecutor, while the house has been declared uninhabitable.
The parents of the two children, of Pakistani origin, and two other brothers who were not at home at the moment, found hospitality from friends.
