Storm gusts knocked down a tree on Dietramszeller Straße in Oberhaching.

The tree fell onto the road right in front of a motorist.

An accident happened.

– According to the police, a 64-year-old from Oberhaching drove his VW on the state road 2386 (Dietramszeller Straße) from Oberhaching in the direction of Oberbiberg on Sunday around 1:15 p.m.

At this time the weather was partly stormy.

At the height of the "Keltenschanze", a tree suddenly fell across the roadway, directly in front of the Oberhachinger's car.

Collision with treetop

Despite emergency braking and swerving over the edge of the road, the man from Oberhaching could no longer prevent a collision.

He drove over the area of ​​​​the treetop.

This severely damaged the underbody and the oil pan.

The driver was not injured.

The vehicle sustained approximately $7,000 in damage.

The road had to be closed for around 45 minutes for the rescue and clean-up work by the fire brigade.
