Legislative 2022: difficult negotiations between LR and the UDI for investitures

2/9/2022, 7:29:44 PM

After several meetings, the two political movements have not yet managed to reach an agreement on the June nominations.

Water in the gas.

Between the Republicans and the UDI, the discussions around the nominations for the next legislative elections are electric.

And are still far from complete.

After three meetings between the two parties to advance on the names of potential future candidates, no agreement has yet been reached.

"It's going very badly.

It's all for them and nothing for us

,” fumes a UDI executive familiar with the negotiations.

Like others, this elected member of the movement chaired by Jean-Christophe Lagarde, who recently supported Valérie Pécresse for the presidential election, regrets the

"supremacist logic"

of the Republicans.

“The last meetings didn't go well at all, it's unpleasant.

There are places where, because of these tensions, some are beginning to question this alliance,”

he laments.
