A New York judge ordered former President Donald Trump and two of his children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, on Thursday to answer questions from prosecutors about the business practices of the Trump Organization under oath.

Attorneys for the Trump family sought to quash subpoenas from State Attorney General Letitia James's office, arguing that this investigation is politically motivated and designed to fuel an ongoing criminal investigation into the company by the District Attorney's office. from Manhattan.

In his ruling, state Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron gave the green light for them to be summoned to testify in the next three weeks.

His lawyers indicated at a previous hearing that they would appeal if the judge allowed the depositions to go forward.
