On the way to the podium?

Standard laser cruiser Maor Ben Harush, from the Hapoel Nahariya club, is leading the Grand Prix competition in Wilamora when he needs two good cruises tomorrow (Wednesday) to secure a medal.

After six cruises Ben Harush has 18 points and is six points away from second place.

In third place is the Belarusian competitor with 33 mandatory points, which puts the Israeli in a good starting point for a medal before the two cruises expected tomorrow.

The competition, which has been held for the past three days in Villamura, Spain, is one of the five most prestigious competitions in the world and this year the ILCA7 (Laser Sandert) model participates in over 70 sailors, including about 15 sailors who were in the top ten in Europe and the world last year.

So far the competition has been conducted in medium winds, which played in Ben Harush's favor.

Tomorrow conditions are expected to be similar, with winds of 10-12 knots.
