The Quartet Center for Information Exchange, which includes Syria, Iraq, Iran and Russia, held a meeting today in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, to discuss security developments in the region.

The Iraqi National Security Adviser said in a statement that SANA’s correspondent in Baghdad received a copy of it that the Iraqi National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, praised, during the meeting, which included the ambassadors of Syria, Iran and Russia, the efforts of brotherly and friendly countries in monitoring and following up on terrorist movements, stressing that “cooperation and joint work with these countries has resulted in Dealing strong and deterrent blows to terrorism and its leaders.

Al-Araji warned of plans for the return of terrorists and their spread in the region, stressing the importance of continuing the work of the Quartet Center and its support, as it strengthens the close relationship between the participating countries.

For his part, Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, in a speech during the meeting, drew attention to the sacrifices made by Syria during the terrorist war that was waged against it, pointing out that Syria, Iraq, Iran and Russia formed a front to confront the terrorist scheme targeting the region and the world.

Ambassador Al-Dandah clarified the importance of perpetuating the message of the Quartet Center for Information Exchange, indicating that the center was able, at the height of terrorist targeting, to achieve important achievements that were reflected on the ground with great victories in Syria and Iraq, represented by the defeat of the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
