The sword and power had long since become the axis of the world again, without having been able to dispel the illusions of the apostles of the end of history and of happy globalization.

They had forgotten Péguy's right words:

“You must always say what you see;

above all, one must always, which is more difficult, see what one sees.”

Above all, they had forgotten that History is tragic and that it is often in the blood that the Gordian knot is cut.

Our staffs had anticipated this, calling for a long time to prepare for “high intensity” combat.
