United States President Joe Biden began his first State of the Union address by speaking about the War in Ukraine.
"6 days ago Vladimir Putin undermined the foundation of the free world with his threatening ways, but he made a miscalculation. He thought he could enter Ukraine and the world would follow, but instead he found a fortress wall that he never imagined or anticipated met the Ukrainian people," Biden said, going on to ask everyone in attendance, many holding small Ukrainian flags, to stand in ovation in support of Ukraine, pointing to Ukrainian Ambassador Oksana Makarova, who was sitting next to the first lady Jill Biden.
