Poland announced today that it will not allow its airports to be used in the current crisis in Ukraine.
Sputnik news agency quoted the Polish Prime Minister's office as saying in a statement that Poland will not send its combat aircraft to Ukraine and will not allow its airports to be used by Ukrainian forces.
The Polish Prime Minister's comments come after US reports that the US and Poland are studying a deal to provide fighter planes to Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the Russian Defense Ministry knows that a number of Ukrainian warplanes went to Romania and other neighboring countries, warning that allowing Ukrainian warplanes to use the airports of other countries may be considered a participation of those countries in the armed conflict.
