(ANSA) - LONDON, MARCH 07 - Queen Elizabeth, who will turn 96 next month, received the premier of Canada, Justin Trudeau today at the castle of Windsor: this is her first personal commitment after the infection from Covid (which took place mid-February in a form "mild and with symptoms similar to cold" according to official information, but which nevertheless aroused anxiety given the age of the sovereign).

The images of the meeting confirm the recovery of her Majesty, already formalized last week by the resumption of some remote virtual appointment, after the forfeits of the previous days.

    Trudeau - who started a short European mission from the UK - then moved to Downing Street to discuss the war in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson;

discussion later expanded in a three-way meeting also with Dutch premier Mark Rutte, who in turn is visiting London.
