JCDecaux is confident for the year 2022

The world number one in outdoor advertising is picking up again after the Covid crisis. From now on, it is banking on digital to accelerate its growth.

“The dynamics of outdoor communication are regaining their rights.

The breakout phase, linked to Covid-19, is almost behind us”

, rejoiced Jean-Charles Decaux, Thursday, alongside his brother Jean-François, co-CEO and chairman of the management board of the French family group, during of the presentation of results.

In 2021, JCDecaux, the world's number one outdoor advertising company, is back on track after a dark year punctuated by the pandemic and the desertification of airports and public transport.

Its turnover stood at 2.75 billion euros, up 18.7% compared to 2020. This is still far from the 3.9 billion recorded in 2019.

“The group has not yet regained its levels of 2019, which had been our best year”

, concedes Jean-François Decaux.

Among its three activities, transport recorded the strongest growth (38.7%), ahead of street furniture (35.8%) and billboards (23.5%).
