The singer and finalist of "The Next Star", Valerie Hamati, was cast in the series "Madrasa" - Israel Today has learned.

In the series "Madrasa", created by Sayed Kashua, she will play the character of Manar.
After several years in which Kashua did not write or create for television, he returns with "Madrasa" (مدرسة - School), a comedy-drama series about the bilingual school community in Jerusalem. The boys and girls at school as well as their parents.
With a sober and humorous look, the series will focus on the conduct of its protagonists, who try to overcome the many obstacles on the path to a life of mutual respect and equality.
The series will be directed by Guri Alfi, produced by Paran Studio and filming will begin soon.
