Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of five people, including terrorists, in the capital, Baghdad.
Alsumaria news website quoted the leadership as saying in a statement today, "A joint force from the Baghdad Operations Intelligence and Security Department and the Sixth and Eleventh Infantry Divisions managed to arrest three terrorists in accordance with Article 4 of terrorism and two accused of multiple crimes, and confiscated the weapons in their possession."
The command added, "A joint force of the Eleventh Division also managed to seize a cache of weapons, missiles and explosive materials in the Al-Ghazayliyah area within the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad."
Earlier today, the Iraqi security forces seized weapons and equipment during a security operation they carried out in Maysan Governorate, east of the country.
