Alarm at the Garmisch fire brigade: A fire broke out in the recycling center in the Loisachauen on Friday evening.

Police have an idea as to how this could have happened.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen – The flames rose, there was a pungent smell in the air: a fire broke out on Friday evening around 8:40 p.m. on the grounds of the Bader recycling center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The local police received several emergency calls in this regard.

As it turned out on site, a large pile of rubbish caught fire at the collection point in the Loisachauen.

This had to be fought by a large contingent of the Garmisch fire brigade.

Owner Robert Klinger (picture right, right) also followed the extinguishing work of the approximately 50 emergency services on site and exchanged views with the police.

According to the current state of knowledge, the officials assume that the mountain of waste had ignited on its own.

According to initial estimates, the damage to property amounts to around 15,000 euros.
