Faced with the tsunami created on the agricultural markets by Russia's invitation to Ukraine, Brussels is activating its emergency plan.
Objective: to cushion the shock of the war on world food security.
On Wednesday, the European Commission unveiled its roadmap to try to ease inflationary pressures on agricultural prices.
And, above all, to avoid the risk of food shortages in the countries most dependent on Russia and Ukraine, which account for 30% of wheat exports in the world.

An envelope of 500 million euros (including 350 million from the crisis reserve) will be paid to support the European farmers most affected by the rise in the price of fertilizers or animal feed.
Brussels has released aid of 330 million euros for Ukraine, in particular to help farmers in the world's fifth largest wheat exporter to access seeds and fuel.
