Qatari envoy Muhammad al-Amadi told the Sawa news agency last night (Thursday) that the Qatari grant for 2022 of $ 360 million had been approved, and that Israel had agreed to gradually increase the number of Gazans working in Israel to 30,000.

The envoy, who is visiting the Gaza Strip this week, said in an interview with the Palestinian News Agency that the amount includes the transfer of fuel to the only power plant in the Gaza Strip each month, the monthly grant of $ 10 million to 100,000 families and other projects ($ 30 million each month. ).

The Qatari envoy also revealed that six months ago it was agreed with the Israeli side to increase the number of work permits for Gazans in Israel to 30,000 gradually.

However, the emissary noted that there is a problem with the ability of the Erez crossing to allow the passage of a large number of workers.

In addition, al-Amadi noted that there is agreement in principle on the part of Israel regarding the gas pipeline project for the only power plant in the Gaza Strip, while the local electricity company and the PA Energy Authority are working on the latest steps related to the issue.
