Deir ez-Zor Governorate, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation, today launched the Ramadan Charity Market in Retaj Hall to display the goods and commodities needed by the family during the holy month of Ramadan at reduced prices.

A member of the Executive Office of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, Hassan Al-Mughair, stated that the market has become an annual tradition established by the governorate before the month of Ramadan, with the aim of securing the families’ needs for materials and goods at reduced prices, in addition to holding cultural and artistic events and Ramadan evenings, pointing out that the market continues throughout the month of Ramadan.

In turn, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Deir ez-Zor Louay Al-Mohaimed said that the market will present many offers by the participating merchants, with the aim of alleviating the economic burdens on citizens, while the chamber will provide hundreds of free baskets to the neediest families, in coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs, pointing out that

Most of the goods currently offered are for food and consumer goods, provided that during the second half of Ramadan, clothes and shoes will be offered in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.

And the director of the Syrian branch of trade, Aghid Al-Juwaishi, indicated that the corporation's participation in this market comes in the context of the role that falls on it to achieve price balance in the markets, pointing out that the branch participates in a wide pavilion that includes basic commodities and supplies, in addition to electrical appliances and tools.
