Four people were injured when a ceiling collapsed in a nightclub in Düsseldorf.
The fire brigade announced that around 30 square meters of a suspended ceiling over the counter area fell early on Sunday morning.
The police reported a 24-year-old employee who suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
A 20-year-old colleague and a 21-year-old disco employee were slightly injured and treated on site.
According to the Düsseldorf fire department, a 20-year-old visitor was taken to a clinic with serious injuries.
All other guests and employees were able to leave the discotheque, which is not far from the Königsallee shopping street in the city center, unharmed.
The police are investigating the causes of the incident and because of negligent bodily harm.
According to the fire brigade, 48 emergency services were at the scene of the accident, and the operation ended after around two hours.
