The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Azerbaijani forces withdrew from the vicinity of the town of Vorokh in the Karabakh region, after they penetrated into the sphere of influence of the Russian peacekeeping forces there two days ago.

The ministry said in a statement today: "Based on the results of the negotiations, the Azerbaijani side withdrew its units from the vicinity of the town of Vorokh in the Karabakh region," noting that the leadership of the Russian peacekeeping unit continues to take measures to solve the problem after the incursion of an Azerbaijani military force into the region.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced yesterday that the Azerbaijani forces entered the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping battalion in the Karabakh region and clashed with a force of the Armenian army, which resulted in the killing of two of its members.

It is noteworthy that Armenia and Azerbaijan, under the auspices of Russia, reached on November 9, 2020, a ceasefire agreement that ended a conflict between Baku and Yerevan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region that lasted about a month and a half.
