(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 28 MAR - We need "a European Union of energy and therefore create a greater system. I generally think of the need to politically cement our Union under various aspects".
This was stated by the president of the Chamber, Roberto Fico, at the Conference of Presidents of the EU Parliaments, in Kranj (Slovenia).
Fico remarked "the centrality of parliaments" which in times of extraordinary difficulties "have proved to be points of reference" and that with "constant listening to the demands of citizens, commitment to giving adequate answers and innovation will be able to strengthen that bond of trust essential for the vitality of democracy" .
