(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 30 - There was a telephone conversation in the afternoon between Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the interview, which lasted one hour, the premier reiterated the readiness of the Italian government to contribute to the peace process, in the presence of declaring signs of de-escalation by Russia, underlining the importance of establishing a ceasefire as soon as possible to protect the civilian population and support the negotiating effort.
