Kharkiv's military governor said in a statement that this region of northeastern Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery fire in the past 24 hours.
He reported that Russian troops attacked 47 times with artillery, mortars, tanks and air strikes in various areas, including some residential ones.
He added that around 380 artillery rocket shellings were recorded.
And that Russian forces damaged a gas pipeline, causing a major fire.
He indicated that they are still working to open a humanitarian corridor, but that Russia is still not giving them the facility.
