Soccer national player Joshua Kimmich has become a father for the third time.
This was confirmed by the management of the midfielder from FC Bayern Munich of the dpa news agency.
The family is doing well, no further details were given.
The "Bild" newspaper had previously reported on it.
Kimmich received applause from his teammates on Monday morning before the non-public training session.
Most recently, the 27-year-old had missed the international matches against Israel (2-0) and the Netherlands (1-1) due to the upcoming birth.
Kimmich was there in FC Bayern's 4-1 win over SC Freiburg on Saturday, which was overshadowed by a mistake.
The Munich team will play their quarter-final first leg in the Champions League at Villarreal on Wednesday (9 p.m.).
Kimmich and his partner Lina Meyer had a boy in June 2019 and a daughter in October 2020.
