The program "Domian live" will not be continued on WDR television or as a podcast.

Domian and the Cologne broadcaster announced on Monday that they could not come to an agreement.

"I'm very sorry," wrote Domian via Facebook.

"Especially now in these serious times" many fans would have hoped for a continuation of the format.

How things will continue for Domian on the radio is not yet known.

But he remains closely connected to WDR, he wrote on Facebook.

"Of course I'll keep you informed."

Nothing is known about the exact reasons for his departure.

"Jürgen Domian has enriched the WDR program for more than two decades with his special and sensitive way of conducting conversations," the broadcaster reported.

In the exceptional situation of the corona crisis, he once again demonstrated his qualities as a contact person for people's concerns and needs.

"We are very grateful to Jürgen Domian for that," it said.

Jürgen Domian became known with his radio show »Domian«, which he moderated for WDR from 1995 to 2016.

After a three-year break, he celebrated his return with the follow-up show Domian Live.

About a year ago, the WDR had extended the contract with Domian, even then there were delays.

In the end, however, both sides agreed to continue »Domian Live« as a combination of television show and podcast.
