PSG: Paredes operated on for pubalgia and absent for two months

The Argentinian midfielder underwent surgery on Thursday. He will therefore not play again this season with the capital club, nor with Argentina.

End of the season for Leandro Paredes, it's now official.

As mentioned on Tuesday, the Argentine midfielder from PSG suffers from pubalgia and was forced to go through the operation box.

“Leandro Paredes, who suffered from pubalgia for several weeks, was successfully operated on today in Paris, informs PSG in a press release on Thursday.

His return to competition from the Parisian midfielder is expected in about 2 months.

He will therefore miss the last eight Ligue 1 meetings with Paris, including the clasico against OM on April 17.

But also the meetings with the selection at the beginning of June, including the “Super final” between Italy, European champion, and Argentina, champion of South America, scheduled for June 1 at Wembley (London).

Paredes therefore gives an appointment to the Parisian supporters when training resumes in July after his summer vacation.

He was injured on Sunday evening during the success against Lorient (5-1) just before the break, replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum.

He had been struggling with adductor pain for several weeks.

Paredes had missed three meetings (Nantes, Saint-Étienne, Nice) between the two matches of the knockout stages of the Champions League against Real Madrid for this reason.
