Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin declared that Western sanctions against Russia are illegal and offensive, and our attitude towards them is based on the principle of reciprocity.
Vershinin said in a statement to the Russian channel Zvezda today, "American figures and the European Union have done bad deeds against Russia, and the list of these names is reviewed periodically," noting that this list can be expanded if necessary.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that her country would not stand idly by in front of the expulsion of Russian diplomats from Western capitals.
