With covid massacres of bars, -7000 in two years

(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 16 - Nearly 7 thousand bars have closed due to Covid in the last two years.

The photograph, taken by Unioncamere and InfoCamere on the data of the Business Register, shows that of the 169,839 bars existing at the end of 2019, 162,964 remained at the end of 2021, i.e. 6,875 less (-4.05%).


   A high reduction, which first of all hit Lazio, where these public establishments decreased by 10.09%, equal to 1,860 fewer structures.

Following the Valle d'Aosta, which marks a percentage change of -9.7% and a numerical decrease of 51bar.
