The court of the Football Association activated the suspended sentence following flare-ups in the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Bloomfield • The next home game will be against the Yellows, the champion is expected to appeal

Following the lighting of torches by Maccabi Haifa fans in the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv at Bloomfield Stadium, which delayed the opening of the game by five minutes, the Football Association's disciplinary tribunal this evening (Wednesday) imposed the conditional sentence against the Greens on closing the northern stand at Sami Ofer. The club was fined a total of 10,000 shekels.

The club intend to appeal the sentence because they claim the condition was on a fan riot in aggravated circumstances, but the current indictment was not on aggravated circumstances.

Haifa has two home games left until the end of the season.

On May 10, Maccabi Tel Aviv will reach Sami Ofer, and in the final round of the playoffs, Maccabi Netanya will be hosted.

The judge noted that the punishment is mitigated following the actions taken by Maccabi Haifa with the aim of "catching criminal fans, first and foremost torchbearers and pyrotechnic devices, but also throwers of other objects."
