Son of a deportee who died in Auschwitz, Daniel Baron gave the Shoah Memorial the letters from his father sent during his internment in

Daniel Baron was born on the roads of the exodus, on June 21, 1940. His mother, Maryse, drove the family van which was used to do the markets and stopped at an acquaintance's to give birth to a baby who did not no memory of his father.

Abraham, enlisted as a soldier in the phoney war, was rounded up in the summer of 1941, interned in Drancy then in Compiègne, before his death in Auschwitz a year later.
