A high-ranking US delegation including Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has arrived in Kyiv as announced, according to Ukrainian sources.
The two ministers are meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the capital, his adviser Oleksiy Arestovych said in an interview on YouTube on Sunday evening.
Further details were not initially known.
Selenskyj had announced the visit at a press conference on Saturday.
According to Zelensky, the talks with Blinken and Austin were about US arms supplies for the Ukrainian armed forces.
It was the first official visit by US officials to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on February 24.
The US State Department declined to provide any information about the trip.
