The Prosecutor has asked for the
indictment of 107 people
, in particular policemen of the Penitentiary and officials of the Department of Penitentiary Administration (
Dap
), for the
violence
that took place in April 2020 in the Caserta prison of
Santa Maria Capua Vetere
.
The request took place during the preliminary hearing before the magistrate Pasquale D'Angelo;
an acquittal
was then requested for another agent involved
, in addition to twelve other similar requests made by the Public Prosecutor a few months ago.
The
total number of suspects was 120
.
Two defendants then asked to be allowed access to the shortened procedure.
