Synagogues in the national religious sector marked the holiday with moving prayers, which include musical instruments and dances.

In the national-religious synagogues all over the country, tonight (Wednesday) we celebrated Independence Day with solemn prayers.

Unlike most holidays, when it is forbidden to play music by electronic means and musical instruments, today this is allowed and therefore in many synagogues the solemn and special prayer was accompanied by musical instruments.

The solemn prayers are expected to continue tomorrow as well.

"The People of Israel Live": Independence Celebrations at the Western Wall

Thousands of people came to the Western Wall and celebrated Independence Day.

Those present sang the familiar song "Next Year in the Built Jerusalem," a song of longing for the construction of the Temple and for the full restoration of Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the people of Israel.

Also, in the synagogues of the religious Zionist sector it is customary to hold a special prayer for Independence Day, including the "Hillel" prayer, through which God is thanked for the miracle he performed in establishing the State of Israel, "the beginning of the growth of our redemption."
