For the first time since the invasion of Ukraine and the sweeping boycott, the Russian gymnasts under the guidance of the Israeli coach took part in an international competition held in recent days in Dubai • Dina Avrina finished only third on the podium

Despite the ban by the World Gymnastics Federation (FIG), due to the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian team led by Ira Vigdorczyk and the runner-up Olympic champion Dina Avrina, for the first time, took part in an international competition held in recent days in Dubai.

Dubai organized for the first time an international competition in artistic gymnastics on its own initiative, without the intervention of FIG, and invited athletes from Egypt, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Canada and others, but also gymnasts from Russia and Belarus who are boycotted.

In the videos that were distributed on the Internet, you can see the group team appearing in the combined exercise, with former Israel national team coach Vigdorchik standing aside and supervising.

By the way, in the hoops exercise, you can hear in the background music, an excerpt from "Let's Reveal".

In the individual competition, Dina Avrina finished the multi-fight competition only in third place overall, with her sister Arina fourth.

First place went to Alina Harensko from Belarus and second to Ella Kramarenko, the talented young Russian.

It should be noted that in about two weeks, the European Championships will be held in Tel Aviv, where the Russian and Belarusian missions will also not be allowed to take part.
