(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 31 - VladimirPutin's number one rival, Alexei Navalny, says that a new criminal case has been opened against him: Novaya GazetaEuropa and the BBC report in Russian citing a post published on the internet by the opponent, now in prison on charges that are clearly considered to be of a political nature.
According to Novaya Gazeta Europa, Navalny claims to be accused of creating "an extremist group", with the aim of "inciting hatred of officials and oligarchs".
