The Republic Championship Chess Championship for men and women, held by the Game Federation in Damascus, concluded with the participation of experienced players and a number of distinguished talents.
The tournament, which was held in a league manner, consisted of 9 rounds. Its competitions in the men’s category ended with Malik Konya Lee winning first place, leaving second place to Bashir Ayti, Amer Turki in third place and Aram Adam in fourth place.
In the women’s category, Manar Khalil came first, Rola Al Mahmoud came second, Ola Al Mahmoud came third, and Fatima Zahra Murad came fourth.
According to the Football Association, the winners of the first four places in the men's and women's categories will represent the national team this year in each category separately.
