"Boxing was therapy": determined and committed, Kaoutar Abbassi, young president of the Melun club

At 29, Kaoutar Abbassi wanted to give back to the noble art all that it had given him. Teeming with ideas, the president of the Melun club

She admits it herself: sport saved her life.

One fine morning in 2016, this 23-year-old young woman pushes the door of the Pierre-Lespiat gymnasium in Melun in Seine-et-Marne.

Badly in her skin, completely lost, she comes here to seek a purpose for her life which is falling apart.

His name, Kaoutar Abbassi.

"I had heard of the boxing club and I came out of curiosity," she recalls.

I walked into the room and never left.

At the club there was everything I needed.

For me, it goes beyond sports.

I found a family, but above all I found myself.

Thanks to my trainer, Momo, I regained my self-confidence.

And when you trust, you are armed for life.
