Two UN experts called for an end to the Israeli settlement plans targeting the Palestinians in the Negev in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.
And the Palestinian Wafa news agency quoted the United Nations special rapporteurs, Fernand de Varennes and Al-Ukrainan Rajagopal, as saying in a statement issued today, that "about 500 Palestinian Bedouins in the village of Ras Jaraba are facing an imminent threat of forced displacement in an attempt to expand settlements."
The statement explained that thousands of Palestinians living in the Negev are facing threats of forced displacement to establish more settlements, military bases and other settlement projects that cause harm to their Palestinian residents, their livelihoods, their cultural practices, the relationship with their lands and their traditional life.
