The weekend was marked by celebrations across the kingdom, in which the Bride of Joy took part only in part due to her condition • Prince Harry and his wife Megan were first spotted in England since leaving Buckingham Palace

In most ceremonies - but without the Queen:

Millions of Britons mark over the weekend the entry of Queen Elizabeth into the eighth decade of her tenure.

Elizabeth herself participated in part in the festivities due to her health condition.

Buckingham Palace thanked the British public on its behalf and apologized for its absence.

The Queen watched from the balcony of Buckingham Palace Her Majesty's Army soldiers hold a traditional military parade in honor of her birthday (celebrated in parallel with the Platinum Jubilee events).

In addition, a Royal Air Force plane flew over the palace.

US President Biden and French President Macron sent greetings, and enthusiastic spectators came to the palace to celebrate, also knowing that this might be the last time an event of this magnitude would be celebrated during her lifetime.
