In the Expatriate House in Old Homs, the novel was shed light on the novel in a literary meeting moderated by Dr. Ramiz Al-Bitar and Maya Shabou’, which included a group of writers and those interested in cultural affairs and some expatriates from Homs to find out its details, components and literary and humanitarian value, at the invitation of the Association of Friends of Expatriates in Homs.

The writer Dr. Nazih Bodour saw that the writer was keen, through the novel, to spread the national culture to support the homeland and that the call of duty was always present in it, while the writer Khadija Al-Hassan indicated that the novel was characterized by conscious intellectual depth and suspense, and represented the sad human side in the war by monitoring people’s tragedies and pain as its writer moved away From hate speech to triumph the values of tolerance, love and the strength of national belonging.

In turn, the writer Hanadi Abu Hanoud said: The novel constituted an accurate description of the reality of a living and a literary beauty of the imagination of the writer emblazoned with the description here and tainted it with the narration there, then decorated it with pearls of love and a sentence with the principles of honor, dignity and masculinity.

Abu Hanoud added: Despite the war and its ferocity, the writer portrayed the events in a romantic way as soon as he made us run in the plains of the homeland and sleep on its hills or among its orchards and smell the fragrance of its flowers.

For his part, the writer of the novel, Dr. Al-Zakimi, stated that he put all his human and patriotic ideas in his virgin novel, and did not refine or add to them, and left them as they are in the sequence of events in a simple and unpretentious manner to reflect reality, and everyone who reads it touches something of it.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Milad Youssef Al-Zakimi, born in 1973, grew up in the city of Al-Qaryatayn in the Homs countryside. He studied medicine at Damascus University in 1997 and chose pediatrics to specialize in it and followed a course in psychoanalysis at the French Cultural Center.
