(ANSA) - STRASBOURG, 08 JUN - The plenary of the European Parliament endorsed the European Commission's proposal to end sales of new petrol and diesel cars in 2035.
The amendment supported by the EPP, which provided for a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions instead of 100%, it has not been approved.
The hemicycle's okay to the negotiating position of the MEPs on CO2 emissions standards came with 339 votes in favor, 249 against and 24 abstentions.
