(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 09 - Extend the levy on extra-profits also to banks and financial intermediaries that do business on energy.

This is the request for a series of transversal amendments to the aid presented by M5S, Leu, FI and FdI.

The proposals envisage extending the "contribution to solidarity taxation" also to "banks and financial intermediaries that carry out the purchase and sale of gas methane, natural gas, electricity or petroleum products or the trading of products, option contracts, standardized forward financial contracts, swaps and other energy related derivative contracts.
