Iran announced today the dismantling of an armed terrorist cell in West Azerbaijan Province, northwest of the country.
In a statement, one of the units of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps stated, “The ground force of the Revolutionary Guards managed, through an intelligence operation, to monitor and dismantle a terrorist cell at the border wall of the city of Salmas, affiliated with the province. A large number of weapons and equipment were seized from the terrorists.
The statement indicated that there were no casualties among the ranks of the Revolutionary Guards.
Yesterday, the intelligence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards arrested some diplomats working in foreign embassies in Tehran for carrying out espionage work in prohibited areas in the country.
