Orléans: a neurologist from the CHR indicted for sexual assault

The prosecution invites anyone with information to provide to the investigators to contact the Orleans police station.

The prosecutor's office in Orléans (Loiret) opened a judicial investigation on Thursday July 7 against a neurologist from the regional hospital center (CHR) following the revelation by several of his patients of facts likely to constitute offenses of a nature sexual, we learned Friday in a press release.

Presented to the prosecution the same day, he was indicted on counts of "

sexual assault by a person abusing the authority conferred on him by his function

", for acts committed between the beginning of the 2010s and today.

The latter was placed under judicial control accompanied by a ban on engaging in the activity of neurologist without the presence of a third person.

He is also prohibited from entering into any relationship with the victims and has been issued with an obligation to submit to psychological care treatment.

The investigations are now continuing under the supervision of the investigating judge to establish the materiality of the facts and identify possible other victims.
