Serbian Sergeant Place is expected to be appointed assistant to Alexander Dzikic at Hapoel Jerusalem, and together with fitness coach Philip Mikhalovich we announced a few weeks ago to complete the new professional hive in the capital alongside an assistant or two Israelis.
In recent years, Place has also worked as an assistant coach at the Lithuanian Lightkablis and the Serbian Mega Lex, and before that he was on the professional team of Ritas Vilna and the Red Star Belgrade.
Meanwhile, guard Speedy Smith (29, 1.91m) who previously played for Maccabi Haifa and last season won the Lithuanian championship with Ritas Vilna close to the conclusion and should be the second foreigner of the team after the signing of Levi Randolph.
