Three people died and three others were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision that took place in the afternoon along the highway that leads from Carpino to Cagnano Varano, in the Foggia area.
The names of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
The clash took place between two small cars, but the dynamics have not yet been clarified.
Two of the three victims had already died when help arrived, the other died despite attempts at resuscitation.
Two helicopter rescue services intervened on the spot and transferred the three injured to San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia).
