Five days after her disappearance, investigators discovered the body of a 17-year-old in the Ludwigsburg district.

According to a statement, the young woman from Asperg has been missing since July 12.

Last Saturday, emergency services found the woman's body, as they now announced.

Police and prosecutors assume a homicide.

The suspect is a 35-year-old who was arrested.

A spokeswoman for the police did not provide any information about the exact allegations.

According to previous information, the young person had left her family's apartment in Asperg on Tuesday afternoon last week and had not returned to her parents in the evening.

The police published photos of the woman, used helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs.

The police set up a special "mountain" commission.

She hopes to get more insight into the course of events through an autopsy, which should take place on Monday.

She is also asking witnesses for information.

In this context, the investigators published a photo of an older BMW 320 with a Ludwigsburg license plate, in which the victim and the suspect from Syria may have been traveling.
